GLP-1 friendly breads and pasta, by the numbers

35 Wildgrain products carry the GLP-1 Friendly badge. Each one earned it the same way: per labeled serving it is an FDA-defined good source of protein or fiber, with 5 g or less added sugar, 2 g or less saturated fat, under 460 mg sodium and 300 calories or less. The numbers come from the product's own Nutrition Facts; the thresholds come from FDA labeling rules and the 2024 expert review on nutrition during anti-obesity medication treatment. Nothing here is a health claim.

The criteria

How a product earns the badge

Per labeled serving, from the product's own Nutrition Facts. All four must hold; the badge is a description of the label, not a health claim.

Scrollable card region

Protein or fiber

5 g protein or 2.8 g fiber per serving or more: the FDA's "good source" threshold (21 CFR 101.54). The 2024 expert review names protein and fiber as the two nutrients to prioritize during anti-obesity medication treatment.

Added sugar ≀ 5 g

The FDA's limit for a "healthy" grain product, and under the 10% of calories recommended during anti-obesity medication treatment.

Saturated fat ≀ 2 g

And under 10% of the serving's calories. Clinical guidance advises avoiding high-fat foods, which can worsen gastrointestinal side effects.

≀ 300 calories, < 460 mg sodium

A modest share of a 1,200 to 1,500 calorie day, and under the 20% Daily Value the FDA calls "high" for sodium.

By the numbers

Every tagged product, per labeled serving

Read straight from each product's Nutrition Facts. Green is within the threshold; coral is outside it. The thresholds are listed above and their sources are at the bottom of the page.

What is not included, and why

Croissants, cookies, cheesecakes, tarts, filled pastas and cheese sauces do not carry the badge because at least one number is outside the threshold. Three examples, same columns, same source. We would rather show the label than stretch the definition.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What does "GLP-1 friendly" mean at Wildgrain?

It is a description of the Nutrition Facts, not a health claim. A product carries the GLP-1 Friendly badge only if, per labeled serving, it is an FDA-defined good source of protein (5 g or more) or fiber (2.8 g or more), and stays at or under 5 g added sugars, 2 g saturated fat (and under 10% of its calories from saturated fat), under 460 mg sodium, and 300 calories or less. The badge, and the protein and fiber numbers shown on each product page, are read from the product's own nutrition label.

"GLP-1 friendly" describes nutrition facts, not a health benefit: per labeled serving the product is a good source of protein or fiber and stays within FDA limits for added sugar and saturated fat. It is not medical advice and does not treat or prevent any condition or medication side effect. Talk to your prescriber or a registered dietitian about what is right for you.
